Now that August is nearly at it`s end, flowers and seasonal colours start to move into deeper stronger hues. I love the summer months, I love the soft palettes of pinks and lilacs. I am however looking forward to using stronger , bolder colours not quite red yet, but burgundy & aubergine will be making an appearance here at Fleur de Lis.

Also another reminder that currently we are closed on a Tuesday, due to staff shortages. We can still deliver on a Tuesday however the shop will not be open for the time being. If you know of an experienced ( minimum 5 years) florist please send me in my direction. Finding a good florist is proving to be difficult, mainly because the training for florists is poor in my opinion. There are a number of "florists" offering there services from home and honestly when I see some of the standard of work I cringe, not all of it is terrible but the vast majority is awful. I get people are trying to save money , but when you are sending flowers to a funeral surely you would want to send a tribute which is designed and made with skill using quality flowers.
